The heart of our organization is the Chronically Badass Club, a group of spoonie-athletes who are redefining what it means to be sick. While some of us were student-athletes before chronic illness forced us to readjust our plans, it was our diagnoses that led others among us into the fitness world. Some see movement as medicine; some see it as therapy; some see it as joy. We all think of movement—whether we’re biking around the block or biking a century ride and whether we’re walking a 5K or running an ultramarathon—as an important part of our lives.
